The Australian Navy Cadets (ANC) is sponsored by the Royal Australian Navy and aims to build leadership and teamwork skills in young people through adventurous and exciting learning activities in a maritime environment. Most Units meet weekly, have overnight camps and conduct week-long training camps at different locations throughout the year.
Becoming a Navy Cadet means making new friends, being part of a team and taking part in fun and challenging activities. Navy Cadets experience sailing, power boating, canoeing, maritime skills, navigation, personal development challenges and community activities. We are about youth development with a maritime theme, or as some put it "just add water". When possible we visit Navy ships and sponsor berths with the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme.
The ANC is a growing youth organisation with 89 Units called ‘Training Ships’ located in every State and Territory in Australia. To find out if there is a Training Ship near you, click on your state and drill down.
